Crew SC midfielder Ben Swanson once again served as captain for the United States U-18 Men's National Team on its trip to Marbella, Spain. After beating Germany 2-1 on December 17, the U.S. fell to the Germans 3-2 on Friday.
The loss rounds out the U-18s 2014, finishing with a 5-7-1 record in international play.

Crew SC midfielder Romain Gall's hot streak for the United States U-20 Men's National Team continued on Thursday as the 19-year-old attacker scored in the Americans' 2-1 victory over Honduras in San Pedro Sula. The San Jose Earthquakes' Tommy Thompson also found the net in USA win.
Gall's strike moved his tally to three in 2014 for a share of the team lead in international play. The Crew SC midfielder is just one of two players to feature in all eight international matches for the U-20s this year, joining TSG 1899 Hoffenheim's Russell Canouse.
The U.S. U-20s face Honduras once again on Sunday in San Pedro Sula.

Mauricio Pineda and Brooks Lennon found the net for the Americans before Germany got one back via penalty kick in stoppage time.

In a convincing win over Real Salt Lake's Joao Plata, Crew leftback Waylon Francis is on to the Round of 16 in Latino del Año voting on FutbolMLS.com. In the Round of 16, the Costa Rican is up against Chivas USA striker Erick "Cubo" Torres, who topped Francis' teammate Federico Higuaín in the Knockout Round.
Polls close on Wednesday, Nov. 12, at 11:59 pm ET. The player who receives the most votes in each pairing will advance to the Grand Finale, which will be composed of the last four players battling for the 2014 Latino del Año crown.
