Thirteen years ago today the Columbus Crew opened Crew Stadium before a sold-out crowd of 24,741, the first MLS stadium built specifically for soccer in the United States as the Crew beat the New England Revolution 2-0. Jeff Cunningham scored the first goal in Crew Stadium history beating Revs goalkeeper Walter Zenga in the 10th minute. Stern John added the second goal in the 59th minute.

EA SPORTS simulated the 2012 MLS season and crowned the LA Galaxy MLS Cup champs already as well as a third straight Supporters Shield. But lucky for the rest of MLS that we have to let the play on the pitch handle who wins it all. The simulation also predicts that the Crew will finish tied for second with Sporting KC in the Eastern Conference with 59 pts while scoring 47 goals and only giving up 33 goals. EA SPORTS also predicts that Black & Gold midfielder Milovan Mirosevic will notch 10 goals on the season.
