It was quite a showing for Columbus Crew SC and United States U-20 Men's National Team midfielder Romain Gall at the CONCACAF U-20 Championship in Jamaica.
With five goals scored in the tournament, the Crew SC attacker earned a share of the competition's Golden Boot honor with Mexico's Hirving Lozano. Gall scored a hat trick in the USA's 8-0 win over Aruba, followed by a brace in a 2-0 victory versus Jamaica. Former winners of the award include Costa Rica's Joel Campbell and Honduras striker Roger Rojas.
Gall's efforts also earned him a place in the tournament's Best XI along with fellow American Shaquell Moore. Gall's Crew SC teammate Wil Trapp was named to the CONCACAF U-20 Championship Best XI in 2013.
Gall and the Americans are set to play in the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand this summer after cementing their qualification with a 2-0 win over El Salvador Saturday night.
Romain Gall and trhe United States Under-20 Men's National Team punched their ticket to the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand on Saturday evening with a 2-0 win over El Salvador in the Playoff Round of the CONCACAF U-20 Championship in Montego Bay, Jamaica. The Crew SC miidfielder started and played 62 minutes in the win. Finishing play in the tournament with five goals, Gall is currently tied for the competition's scoring lead with Mexico's Hirving Lozano heading into tomorrow's Final between Mexico and Panama. In total, Gall has scored nine goals in 14 international matches with the U-20 USMNT.
Mexico, Panama, Honduras and the USA are the four teams that will represent CONCACAF in New Zealand. The 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup takes place May 30-June 20. The Americans will learn their group on February 10 during the tournament draw.

Crew SC winger Romain Gall started and played 69 minutes in the United States Under-20 Men's National Team's 1-0 victory over Trinidad & Tobago to advance out of Group A in the CONCACAF U-20 Championship on Wednesday evening in Montego Bay, Jamaica. LA Galaxy forward Bradford Jamieson IV's 78th-minute strike was the lone tally in the clash as the U.S. finished in second place of Group A, ahead of Guatemala on total goals scored.
The U.S. will discover its next oppoenent after the re-seeding process ahead of the Playoff Round. The Americans are currently one win away from qualifying for the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand.

Crew SC's Romain Gall scored twice from the penalty spot to help the United States U-20 Men's National Team to a 2-0 victory over Jamaica on Sunday evening in group play of the CONCACAF U-20 Championship in Kingston. The brace pushed Gall's goal total for the tournament to five, leading all scorers in the competition. The Americans round-out the Group Stage on Wednesday against Trinidad & Tobago, needing a win or draw to assure their advancement to the Knockout Stage.

The U.S. earned its first win in three matches at the 2015 CONCACAF U-20 Championship in Jamaica as the Americans topped Aruba, 8-0, with Crew SC's Romain Gall leading the way and netting a hat trick.
Gall's first of the evening came when the LA Galaxy's Bradford Jamieson IV cut the ball back to the Crew SC man near the penalty spot. Gall ripped his shot near post, putting the USA up 1-0 in the 16th minute. It wouldn't take long for the Paris-born Gall to earn his second of the match as defender Tyler Turner was taken down in the area in the 23rd minute, which led to Gall's stutter-step penalty to make it 3-0. Gall capped-off his hat trick in the 32nd minute when Fulham FC's Emerson Hyndman slotted his pass to a streaking Gall. The winger rounded Aruba's charging 'keeper and fired far post to push the Americans' lead to 6-0 heading into halftime. Ben Spencer, Tommy Thompson, Amando Moreno, Hyndman and Jamieson IV each added goals in the 8-0 USA victory.

Crew SC midfielder Romain Gall was rested in the United States' 1-0 loss to Panama at the 2015 CONCACAF U-20 Championship in Jamaica on Sunday. The U.S. returns to action on Wednesday against Aruba in Kingston.
Crew SC's Romain Gall started in an attacking midfielder role for the United States as the U-20 MNT drew Guatemala 1-1 in its CONCACAF U-20 Championship-opening match in Jamaica on Friday. Gall played 85 minutes, picking up a yellow card in the action.
The U.S. next plays Panama at 5:30 p.m. ET on Sunday on FOX Sports 2.
Crew SC midfielder Ben Swanson once again served as captain for the United States U-18 Men's National Team on its trip to Marbella, Spain. After beating Germany 2-1 on December 17, the U.S. fell to the Germans 3-2 on Friday.
The loss rounds out the U-18s 2014, finishing with a 5-7-1 record in international play.
