With his game winning strike in the 56th minute of last week's victory in Toronto, Crew midfielder Bernardo Añor is feeling more confident in his role with the club. The second year player is hoping to earn his third consecutive start for the Black & Gold as Dilly Duka works his way back to fitness after suffering an injured hamstring in the season opener.

"I'm feeling confident lately," Añor said after training on Wednesday. "With the goal of course, it gets your confidence up."

While Añor took time to give a little Latin-inspired dance in celebration of his goal to put the Crew up 1-0 on Saturday, the Venezuelan knows the celebration is over.

Columbus faces its stiffest competition in the young season Saturday when the New York Red Bulls visit Crew Stadium.

"That's a game in the past," Añor continued. "I've got to focus on (New York) and go in with the same mentality of stepping on the field to win the game-- create chances, score goals, finishing opportunities. Hopefully all those things can happen against New York."

Crew head coach Robert Warzycha hopes the confidence from Añor's strike against TFC can carry over into his play on Saturday.

"That was only his second game this year. It was good to see him taking off with the ball, making a good pass, and then getting the ball back from the defender and he finished it pretty well with one touch," Warzycha said of Añor's counter-attack goal.

"He is a good player. Obviously, a goal like this will give him more confidence and hopefully he will be even more effective for the next game."
