The New England Revolution will hold its annual tryouts for the Rev Girls, the team’s promotional group, on Saturday, Feb. 20. Registration will begin at 10 a.m. in the East Fidelity Investments Clubhouse at Gillette Stadium, and the tryouts will last approximately three hours until 1 p.m. A brief informational meeting will precede the interviews and a crowd-involvement drill.
The Rev Girls, entering their second year, run promotions at games and nighttime events and make public appearances on behalf of the team. The Rev Girls interact with supporters at promotional events and at home games at Gillette Stadium, and should be outgoing, friendly, photogenic, enthusiastic, reliable, and should have great communications skills. The team is looking for women with experience in promotional modeling, cheer, dance, or other performance experience.
Women interested in interviewing for a roster spot with the Rev Girls must:
- Be at least 18 years of age by March 1, 2010,
- Wear athletic clothing, preferably dance shorts/yoga pants and a tank top,
- Bring a head shot and full length photo (non-returnable),
- Bring a valid driver's license,
- Commit to one full season (March-November 2010),
- Complete the general application, and
- Have reliable transportation.
Those interviewing for the Rev Girls should come dressed and ready to meet the staff. There will be no facilities available to prepare for the tryout. Candidates who are chosen to attend the final interviews will be notified on Monday, Feb. 22.
Women attending the tryouts should enter the Gillette Stadium grounds through the North (P1) Entrance, park in Lot 5. They should enter the stadium through the E2 entrance and take the elevator up to the East Fidelity Investments Clubhouse.
