NORTH CAROLINA TRIP FINALIZED
The Revolution will travel to North Carolina on Wednesday, March 10 for a 12-day preseason training trip during which the club will play three matches the team will be based in Cary, N.C. and square off against the Charlotte Eagles (USL-2), Duke University and the Carolina Railhawks (NASL) for the second year in a row, the Revs will train at the Railhawks’ WakeMed Soccer Park for the duration of the trip the scrimmage against Duke that will take place on the morning of March 17 is a closed-door scrimmage the schedule of the games is as follows:


Saturday, March 13 – at Charlotte Eagles (Transamerica Field, Charlotte, N.C., 6 p.m.)


Wednesday, March 17 – at Duke University (Durham, N.C., 9:30 a.m.) Closed-door scrimmage


Saturday, March 20 – at Carolina Railhawks (WakeMed Soccer Park, Cary, N.C., 7 p.m.)

SINGLE-GAME TICKETS ON SALE FRIDAY
Individual game tickets for 2010 Revolution matches at Gillette Stadium will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 5 tickets can be purchased through all Ticketmaster outlets and through the Revolution ticket office by calling 1-877-GET-REVS.


REVS SEE FIRST PRESEASON ACTION
The Revolution split its two preseason games while in Florida the Revs dropped their first match to FC Dallas, 2-0 Dallas netted one goal early and one goal late and stifled the Revs offense all afternoon as much of the play was bogged down in the midfield later in the week, the club took on a group of local college all-stars and won, 6-0 six different Revs scored Shalrie Joseph scored the game-winner in the 39th minute, followed by a five-goal flurry during a 27-minute span in the second half.


A TEAM WITH ADDED DESIRE
In an attempt to bolster its midfield depth, the Revolution has signed Senegalese central midfielder Niouky Desire Desire will occupy one of the eight international spots on the club’s roster Desire, 23, has played with Dakar-based Port Autonome for the past four seasons before joining Port Autonome, he featured for ASC Diaraf, another club based in Dakar, for four seasons he will join the rest of his teammates pending the receipt of his U.S. P-1 Visa.


2010 SCHEDULE FINALIZED
The New England Revolution’s finalized 2010 schedule has been released with three minor changes ... the home date against the New York Red Bulls on Saturday, May 29, will kick off at 8 p.m. ET the home match against the Chicago Fire, originally scheduled for Saturday, June 26, has been pushed back one day to Sunday, June 27, at 7 p.m. finally, the Revs’ road match at Colorado on Saturday, Sept. 18, will kick off at 9 p.m. ET . a full and updated schedule can be found at the team’s official website, revolutionsoccer.net.


YOUTH TEAMS UPDATE
The Revs U-16 and U-18 teams matches at FC Westchester this past weekend were cancelled because of weather conditions make-up dates have not yet been scheduled going into the second weekend of play, both squads held 1-1 records after the opening weekend the U-16s and U-18s defeated SC Premier in their openers, but dropped 1-0 decisions to Oakwood SC the very next day the teams next travel to Queens, N.Y. for a match against Met Oval.
