The Columbus Crew, in conjunction with Time Warner Cable and ONN-TV, announced today that Saturday’s Real Salt Lake at Crew game broadcast on ONN will be available in high definition exclusively to Time Warner Mid-Ohio customers in Columbus, on Ch. 1310.
It will mark the first time that a Crew regional broadcast will air in HD. The match will also air regionally in standard definition as scheduled (Mid-Ohio Ch. 362). The Voice of the Crew, Dwight Burgess, and Bill McDermott will call all the action, with Katie Witham reporting from the sidelines, starting at 7:30 p.m.
“This is an exciting day for our organization and, more importantly, our fans,” said Crew President & General Manager Mark McCullers. “I would like to thank ONN and Time Warner Cable for their efforts and collaboration in this process, which now allows us to deliver Crew soccer to area viewers in high definition. We look forward to increasing the number and expanding the coverage of those broadcasts as the season progresses.”
Starting this year, all Crew regional game broadcasts on ONN are being produced in high definition and plans for future HD broadcasts on Time Warner Cable are being finalized. All parties are working toward ensuring clearance in HD for all remaining home games.
