Crew Stadium parking project underway

The Columbus Crew is pleased to announce that work on the first phase of the $5 million project that will vastly improve the parking infrastructure surrounding Crew Stadium commenced this week. The portion of the Ohio Expo Center North Lot south of Black & Gold Blvd., east of Korbel Ave. and west of Wilnis Ave. has been cordoned off and work – to include grading, drainage and paving – is underway.

This portion of Phase I is scheduled to be completed by the start of the Ohio State Fair. In the meantime, the affected area will not be available for parking. Ample event parking remains available on-site, but fans are advised that familiar traffic patterns may be slightly altered.

The next portion of the project, which will pave additional lots south, east and north of the stadium, is scheduled to begin following the Ohio State Fair and be completed prior to the All-American Quarter Horse Congress, which begins on Oct. 2.
