Crew Joins OhioHealth and MLS W.O.R.K.S. in effort to Boot Breast Cancer

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the Crew has again partnered with OhioHealth and MLS W.O.R.K.S. to bring awareness to the effort to fight the disease. The Black & Gold and OhioHealth are teaming up to “Boot Breast Cancer” this Sunday, Oct. 2, when fans will receive a pink Boot Breast Cancer scarf, while supplies last. In addition, a human pink ribbon will be formed on the field at halftime, comprised of people affected by breast cancer and their families and friends. Elements supported by MLS W.O.R.K.S. and league partners include the use of a pink-accented adidas match ball, the addition of pink-ribbon patches to game jerseys, and use of pink armbands, cleats, shoelaces, goalkeeper gloves and Gatorade towels.
