Crew in the News

Frankie Hejduk

It's been a busy week around the Crew offices, starting with the annoucement the legend Frankie Hejduk has retired and joined the Crew's front office as Brand Ambassador.

The Columbus Dispatch's Bob Hunter lauds the organization for bringing Hejduk on to engage the Columbus community.

Referring to Hejduk as "soccer's answer to Jeff Spicoli", Soccer America's Paul Kennedy notes that, like Hejduk, his decision to settle in Columbus is an unconventional one.

The announcement got Frankie Hejduk's name trending in Columbus on Twitter. TheCrew.com compiled some of the most notable tweets of the day.

The Black & Gold's search for a designated player continues, but nothing is likely to happen until summer, writes the Dispatch's Adam Jardy.
