GK Andy Gruenebaum- The Hebrew Hammer rebounded from losses to Montreal and Kansas City to help lead the Crew to back-to-back victories. Gruenebaum saved 11 out of 16 shots faced throughout the month.

FWD Jairo Arrieta- In just his second Major League Soccer match, the Costa Rican striker helped the Crew to victory against D.C. United on July 21 with a pefectly weighted through ball to Chris Birchall for the match winner. In the next match, Arrieta opened his MLS scoring account with a brace on the road against Sporting KC, the stingiest defense in the league. Arrieta was honored with Player of the Week honors on July 30 for his efforts in the victory.

MF Chris Birchall- In addition to playing all 360 minutes for the Black & Gold in July, the hard working midfielder scored his first goal as a member of the Crew on July 21 to lead Columbus to victory over D.C. United. The Trinidad & Tobago International has become a mainstay in Robert Warzycha's lineup with his tireless work rate in central midfield.

DF Josh Williams- Due to injuries to his teammates, Williams has been forced to play all over the Crew back line and has continued to perform admirably. Williams contributed his second assist of the season on Jairo Arrieta's equalizer against Sporting Kansas City on July 28.
