Moment of the Match: Renteria Heads Home the Winner

Emilio Renteria

For the second time in as many matches, the Crew took three points in stoppage time to help propel the club into the Eastern Conference playoff picture. Federico Higuaín was once again the focal point, this time sending a beautiful ball into the box that Emilio Renteria flicked on past Montreal Impact goalkeeper Troy Perkins for the game winner. Here is the Venezuelan's take on his late stunner:

"Danny [O'Rourke] won the ball, the second ball was passed to Federico [Higuaín]. Federico got the ball, and beat the outside [back]. In that moment, I saw that move and nobody was in the box. So I went there because I knew Federico could put the ball into that space because he's a great player. He made a great cross, I ran in front of the defender and flicked the ball and was lucky to put it in and give us three points."
