The Crew will be very active in the community in the week leading-up to Fan Appreciation Day on October 28, at Crew Stadium when the Black & Gold face Toronto FC at 4:00 p.m.
Things kick off this Saturday at 4:00 p.m. with the CCYHA Blue Jackets Special Hockey Fundraiser at Nationwide Arena. The Crew Soccer Tour will be on hand to help raise funds for the Blue Jackets Special Hockey Team through a silent auction and a 50/50 drawing while educating people in attendance on the special needs hockey team.
Following the event fans are encouraged to go to 4th Street Bar & Grill, the home of the Crew Union Supporters Club (1810 North 4th Street, Columbus, OH 43201) for the final Crew Pub Tour of the regular season. All televisions will be tuned to FOX Sports Ohio for the pivotal match at D.C. United, which kicks off at 7:30 p.m. Fans can enjoy drink specials and Crew merchandise giveaways will cheering the Black & Gold to victory.
Crew forward Tommy Heinemann will be at Donatos at Easton (4055 Morse Crossing, Columbus, 43219), on Sunday, October 21 from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. to greet fans and sign autographs.
The highlight event of the week is the Annual Crew Awards Ceremony and Casino Night at the LC Pavilion on Tuesday, October 23. The full team will be in attendance and fans are encouraged to stay after the ceremony to play casino games and win prizes with proceeds from the evening benefiting the Crew Soccer Foundation. Doors at the LC Pavilion open at 6:00 p.m., with the ceremony starting promptly at 7:00 p.m. Admission is free for Gold Level members of Crew Soccer Nation. Black and Silver level members as well as the general public can purchase tickets for $20 in advance or $25 at the door. To cap the week, the Crew Soccer Tour will be at “Boo at the Zoo,” the annual Halloween-themed family event at the Columbus Zoo, on Friday Oct. 26, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday, Oct. 27 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Also on Saturday, Frankie Hejduk will participate in the Ohio State University Soccer-Tennis Tournament which runs from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at OSU's RPAC Tennis Courts (337 W. 17th Ave Columbus, 43210). All participants will receive Crew merchandise and the Grand Prize will include Crew jerseys.
Finally, fans are encouraged to join Crew rookie midfielder Ethan Finlay as he visits Donatos in Worthington (5388 N High St, Columbus, 43214) to greet fans, sign autographs and pose for pictures on Saturday, Oct. 27, at 5:00 p.m.
