Kevan George made his first start of the season at centerback last Sunday at New York in place of Glauber, who was serving a one-match suspension for yellow card accumulation. George lined-up alongside Eric Gehrig to become the third centerback pairing Head Coach Robert Warzycha has used this year. Gehrig has started the last two matches in place of the injured Chad Marshall. Gehrig and Glauber started the May 18 match at Toronto together, while Marshall and Glauber were paired together for the first 10 matches of the 2013 campaign through May 4.

The Crew is 4-0-1 this season when leading at the 75th-minute or later following the 2-2 draw at New York on May 26. Although the Black & Gold were unable to secure a full three points after a 91st-minute equalizer, leading the match headed into the final 15 minutes of play is exactly where the team wants to be. Conversely, the Crew is 0-2-0 after the 75th-minute when trailing and 0-2-3 this season when the match is tied during the same late-match window.

The Crew has yet to be issued a red card through 12 MLS matches in 2013. As the num- ber of matches increase during the summer months, the Crew likely will have history on its side during the month of June to keep the club a mellow bunch in the eyes of the officials. The Crew has played at least three matches in the month of June since 2010
(3 June matches in 2010 and 2012 and five in 2011) and has not had a player sent off in June since 2009.
