Crew Juniors U-19s claim fourth-straight USYS State Cup

Crew Youth U-19 State Cup

The Crew Juniors U-19 squad, coached by Crew Technical Director Brian Bliss, defeated Blast FC 3-0 at the Crew's Obetz training facility on Sunday in the State Cup Final. The win marked the fourth-straight U.S. Youth Soccer Ohio State Cup championship for the team and it will soon head to Iowa for regional competition.

University of Louisville forward Louis Berra found the net and Notre Dame midfielder Connor Klekota netted a brace in the 3-0 victory.

The U-19s are defending USYS National Champions in their division after current-First Team pro Wil Trapp netted the game-winner in last year's James P. McGuire Cup Final. The same squad will compete in the USL Super-20 League, where the Black & Gold won National Championships in 2010 and 2011, with additional older players.

While Bliss travels to Turkey for the FIFA U-20 World Cup as an Assistant Coach for the United States squad, Jeremy Parkins will oversee both teams.

Below is the current Crew Juniors U-19/U-20 squad, 18 players on the roster have worked their way up through the Crew Youth Development system.
