COLUMBUS – The Columbus Crew vs. Houston Dynamo match at BBVA Compass Stadium on Saturday, August 3 is scheduled to be part of NBC Sports Network’s MLS Breakaway coverage (9:00 p.m. ET). The inclusion of the Philadelphia Union vs. Chicago Fire match at 8:30 p.m. ET had no effect on the original scheduled kickoff time.
NBC Sports Network’s August 3 soccer coverage begins at 6:30 p.m. ET with the Sporting Kansas City-New York Red Bulls match, followed by the unique NBC Sports Group presentation MLS Breakaway (9-10:30 p.m. ET), a special 90-minute “whip-around” show featuring multiple live look-ins to regional broadcasts of four games being played at that time.
MLS and NBC Sports Group collaborated to adjust the start times of several games to create this opportunity for fans. The updated schedule of related games is below.
NBC Sports Group’s new lead MLS play-by-play voice John Strong and analyst Kyle Martino will host MLS Breakaway coverage from NBC Sports Groups’ International Broadcast Center in Stamford, Conn.
