Federico Higuaín wowed the Crew Stadium faithful in each of the past two weeks with spectacular chipped goals from outside the penalty area to help beat the New York Red Bulls and Toronto FC.
Now the question arises: Which chip was better?
Against the Red Bulls, Higuaín received a perfectly weighted through ball from Wil Trapp in central midfield, took one touch, saw goalkeeper Luis Robles off his line and and chipped his shot in-stride into the back of the net. The Argentine's beauty won over 40-percent of the vote to earn AT&T Goal of the Week honors last week.
In a similar counterattack situation against Toronto FC, Jairo Arrieta found Higuaín at the top of the box with the Crew looking to get numbers forward. Higuaín noticed the Toronto backline backing off, and after two touches, chipped his shot from 22 yards out and over the head of Reds 'keeper Joe Bendik. Once again, Higuaín is up for Goal of the Week honors and has a strong chance of winning the weekly poll (VOTE).
