Black & Gold Bullets: October 31

Anthony Precourt

Last night, American soccer fans descended on Columbus for the second time in two months, this time to watch the U.S. Women's National Team play New Zealand in an international friendly at Crew Stadium. The Stars and Stripes tied New Zealand 1-1, with forward Sydney Leroux scoring the Americans' only goal in the 42nd minute. Adam Jardy from the Columbus Dispatch provides a recap of the match.

Crew Investor-Operator and Chairman Anthony Precourt has been very vocal about his desire to take the club to new heights. What changes should fans expect for 2014? Andrew King from FOX Sports Ohio sat down with Precourt to discuss that very question, among others.

Remember Crew forward Dominic Oduro's spectacular left-footed volley golazo against Montreal back in April? Well, MLSsoccer.com has the strike as one of the 64 goals up for AT&T Goal of the Year. You can vote for Oduro until tonight at 11:59 p.m.

There was reason to celebrate at the Crew's 2013 Team Awards at Via Vecchia Winery last week, including the announcement that the Crew Soccer Foundation reached its goal of raising $100,000 for the Kirk Urso Fund and the accomplishments players made for the Black & Gold on the field. If you missed the special event or would just like to relive it, be sure to check out this video put together by TheCrew.com.
