Crew's June 7 match at D.C. United moved to FedExField as part of Road to Brazil double-header

COLUMBUS – The Columbus Crew announced today that its June 7 match at D.C. United has been moved to FedExField as part of a Road to Brazil double-header. Road to Brazil, a 10-day, seven-game tour featuring FIFA World Cup-bound nations, is set to take place across the United States just days prior to the 2014 FIFA World Cup. The Black & Gold road match – previously scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. ET kick that day at RFK Stadium – is now being held as the second match of the evening at FedExField in Landover, Md. following the conclusion of Spain versus El Salvador.

Road to Brazil is being organized by Major League Soccer’s commercial arm, Soccer United Marketing.

Times of both games will be announced at later date. Tickets for this double-header and for all Road to Brazil matches will go on sale March 17 via http://www.mlssoccer.com/road-to-brazil-2014.

Before this June match-up, the Crew begins the 2014 season against United at RFK Stadium on Saturday, March 8. Presently, the club is concluding preseason training in Orlando, Fla. For more information on catching the Black & Gold in 2014 – visit TheCrew.com/tickets.
