Saturday’s victory against D.C. United marked the first win for Gregg Berhalter as Sporting Director and Head Coach of the Columbus Crew.  “It’s special,” Berhalter said. “But we want to build something here, and we need to establish that. It helps to get the first one out, but we know that we need to keep improving. Columbus Crew and USMNT defender Michael Parkhurst started his first MLS match since 2008 on Saturday. He was named the Crew’s captain by Berhalter, and his leadership reflected in the team’s winning performance against United.
