Eastern Conference Roundup: April 8

1. Columbus Crew -- 9 pts. |2-0 Loss vs. Toronto FC, Week Six: at San Jose Earthquakes


The Crew suffered its first loss of the season following a slow first 20 minutes against Toronto FC, falling 2-0 to the Reds. The Black & Gold have an extra day off to regroup as they prepare for a Sunday tilt at San Jose this week.


2. Toronto FC -- 9 pts. | 2-0 Win at Columbus Crew, Week Six: vs. Colorado Rapids


Michael Bradley's performance against Mexico last Wednesday carried over into the Reds' match against the Crew on Saturday, as the U.S. Men's National Team midfielder was dominant centrally and scored an early winner. Toronto returns home against the Colorado Rapids in Week Six. 


3. Sporting Kansas City -- 8 pts. | 0-0 at Real Salt Lake, Week Six: Bye


Though the chances were there, Kansas City was denied time and time again as RSL 'keeper Jeff Antinella put in a solid performance in goal to shut-out Sporting. Peter Vermes' side has Week Six off to rest after juggling MLS and CONCACAF Champions League play through the first month. 


4. Houston Dynamo -- 6 pts. |4-1 Loss vs. FC Dallas, Week Six: at New England Revolution


After starting the season with two straight wins, there's cause for concern in Houston as the Dynamo dropped its second in a row in the Texas Derby against FC Dallas. The Dynamo hits the road this week to New England.


5. Philadelphia Union -- 6 pts. | 2-2 Draw at Chicago Fire, Week Six: vs. Real Salt Lake


The Union battled-out a road point as it drew the Fire, 2-2, behind goals from Maurice Edu and Leanardo Fernandes. Philadelphia returns home to host Real Salt Lake in Week Six.


6. D.C. United -- 4 pts. | 2-0 Win vs. New England Revolution, Week Six: vs. New York Red Bulls


United snapped a 16-match winless streak thanks to an New England own goal and a late tally from D.C. debutant Chris Rolfe. The Black-and-Red kick-off the first leg of the Atlantic Cup against New York this week at RFK Stadium.


7. New England Revolution -- 4 pts. | 2-0 Loss at D.C. United, Week Six: vs. Houston Dynamo


New England's attack struggled once again as it was shut-out for the fourth time in five matches this season.  The Revolution welcomes the Houston Dynamo to Gillette Stadium this week.


8. Chicago Fire -- 4 pts. |2-2 Draw vs. Philadelphia Union, Week Six: at Montreal Impact


The Fire battled back for a point at home against the Union thanks to Juan Luis Ananganó's 86th-minute goal, but Chicago fans were left disappointed following Mike Magee's saved penalty attempt in stoppage time. The Men in Red travel to Montreal in Week Six.


9. New York Red Bulls -- 4 pts. | 2-2 Draw at Montreal Impact, Week Six: at D.C. United


The defending Supporters' Shield winners have yet to win in 2014, following a 2-2 draw in Montreal. The Red Bulls travel to D.C. on Saturday. 


10. Montreal Impact -- 2 pts. | 2-2 Draw vs. New York Red Bulls, Week Six: vs. Chicago Fire


The Impact has shown improvement since the return of Marco Di Vaio, picking up its second-straight draw. Montreal looks for its first win of 2014 as it welcomes the winless Chicago Fire to the Stade Saputo in Week Six.
