Dutch Lions drop pair of weekend clashes

MLS might have taken a break for the FIFA World Cup, but USL-PRO play continued as the Dayton Dutch Lions played two matches this past weekend, dropping both.

On Friday, Dayton traveled to Rochester and fell to the Rhinos by a 2-0 final. Ross Friedman, Matt Wiet and Aaron Schoenfeld all started for the Dutch Lions, while Matt Walker came on as a substitute. Schoenfeld paced Dayton with two shots in the contest.

Dayton then returned home for a Sunday encounter with Orlando City SC, again falling by a 2-0 score. Friedman, Wiet, Schoenfeld and Walker all started for the Dutch Lions, with Walker recording two shots and Schoenfeld one.
