Columbus Crew SC today announced that it has partnered with Abbott’s EAS Sports Nutrition business in a deal that will see the brand named the Official Sports Nutrition Provider for Columbus Crew SC. The deal will also see the club's training facility in Obetz, Ohio renamed as the EAS Training Center at Obetz.
Located in Columbus, the EAS brand is a team of nutritionists, researchers, scientists, and fitness fanatics that has been dedicated to providing impactful, clean and safe nutritional products for more than 20 years. Elite athletes, fitness enthusiasts and occasional gym-goers alike benefit from the performance nutrition products that propel performance to the next level while aiding recovery.
“The strong alignment between the core values of EAS Sports Nutrition and the training requirements of Columbus Crew SC will allow this partnership to seamlessly be activated at both the EAS Training Center at Obetz and MAPFRE Stadium,” said Crew SC President of Business Operations Andy Loughnane. “We are proud to launch an innovative partnership with a leading fitness and nutrition brand that has strong ties to the community and is firmly committed to promoting healthy lifestyles.”
As the Official Sports Nutrition Provider for Columbus Crew SC, the club's training facility is set to be renamed as the EAS Training Center at Obetz. Originally opened in 1997, the complex in the Village of Obetz was the first of its kind in Major League Soccer.
The EAS brand will also receive LED signage and permanent fascia signage, in-market promotions and hospitality considerations at Crew SC home matches as well as become the presenting partner for the Black & Gold's Night of Champions, which recognizes youth soccer teams across Ohio.

Crew SC returns home for two consecutive matches at MAPFRE Stadium on Saturday, April 18 when new MLS club Orlando City SC visits Columbus. The match kicks-off at 7:30 p.m. ET.
