Swanson called up by U.S. Under-18 National Team

In conjunction with U.S. Soccer, Columbus Crew SC today announced that midfielder Ben Swanson has earned a call-up by the United States Under-18 National Team for a training camp in Medugorje, Bosnia & Herzegovina.

The camp, which is set to be held from April 22 – May 1, is the first training camp of 2015 for the U-18s. During the session, the U-18 National Team is slated to play friendlies against Siroki Brijeg (April 25) and the Bosnia U-18s (April 28 and April 30).

Swanson previously represented the U-18s last year at the Lisbon International Tournament and the International Tournament of Vaclav Jezek, where he started the championship match, helping the U.S. to a 1-0 win and the title.

Swanson last joined the U-18s for a camp in Marbella, Spain from December 11-20, 2014. He captained the side en route to a 2-1 victory over Germany's U-18s (December 17).
