COLUMBUS – Columbus Crew SC today announced the creation of the first-ever Crew SC Foundation FootGolf Classic, to be held on July 26, 2015 at The Trout Club (2250 Horns Hills Road, Newark OH, 43055). The day is set to feature the Crew SC players and coaching staff in a new event. The FootGolf experience, played like traditional golf with the exception of participants playing each hole with a soccer ball and their feet, benefits the Columbus Crew SC Foundation.
The event will be split into two separate sessions, with an 11:30 a.m. ET tee time for families and a 3:00 p.m. ET Happy Hour tee time for participants ages 21-and-over. Early Bird pricing in the family division begins at $99 for individuals and $375 for a foursome, with the Happy Hour division starting at $120 for individuals and $475 for foursomes. During the event, participants will notice that FootGolf holes are set up like a traditional golf hole with special tees and holes made for the soccer ball. As part of the event announcement, the Crew SC Foundation has also unveiled its new Board of Directors and officers for the 2015 year.
