Columbus Crew SC Brand Ambassador Frankie Hejduk and Assistant Coach Josh Wolff spent the morning reading to second graders at Buckeye Woods Elementary in Grove City. Hejduk brought along the 2008 MLS Cup as he and Wolff teamed up with The 2nd and 7 Foundation ahead of Crew SC’s decisive Second Leg of the Eastern Conference Semifinal series against the Montreal Impact on Sunday. After reading to the students Hejduk and Wolff answered questions, signed autographs and gave each second grader a free book. Hejduk also took pictures with the children along with the MLS Cup. The 2nd and 7 Foundation is dedicated to promoting reading by providing free books and positive role models to kids in need while encouraging young athletes of the community to pay it forward. This event was part of Crew SC’s “Give Forward” initiative, which is sponsored by MAPFRE Insurance.
