On Sunday, Crew SC hosts the New York Red Bulls at MAPFRE Stadium in the First Leg of the 2015 Eastern Conference Championship. The match is sold out and following the expansion of the stadium’s capacity via the installation of temporary bleachers on the stage of the north side of the venue, as well as standing room only tickets, the Black & Gold will break the all-time postseason attendance record for a single Crew SC match at home. All supporters are encouraged to arrive early to the contest.
MAPFRE Stadium added: “We value the safety and security of our patrons for all events hosted at MAPFRE Stadium. We will continue to collaborate with law enforcement and Major League Soccer on security protocols for our events. Out of an abundance of caution following last weekend’s tragic events in Paris, in addition to our standard safety measures, there will be an increased security presence at the venue on Sunday, including the usage of metal detector screening at the gates.”
