Columbus Crew SC is scheduled to assist with The Salvation Army in Central Ohio's Christmas Cheer event tomorrow, December 17 at the Lausche Building at the Ohio State Fairgrounds (717 E. 17th Avenue, Columbus OH 43211). The entire event – which runs from 11:20 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. ET – is part of Crew SC's Give Forward initiative, which is presented by MAPFRE Insurance.
Midfielder Ethan Finlay joins defender Chad Barson at the event beginning at 11:20 a.m. ET. Later, Brand Ambassador Frankie Hejduk is slated to pitch-in beginning at 2:00 p.m. ET. Throughout the day, Crew SC front office employees will also be on-hand to help with what is Central Ohio's largest holiday toy and food distribution program. The annual event is set to distribute food and toys to nearly 8,000 families in need.
Tomorrow's event is a continuation of the relationship between Crew SC and The Salvation Army in Central Ohio. Last week, Black & Gold front office employees volunteered in support of The Salvation Army in Central Ohio's Red Kettle Campaign by ringing bells at the front entrance of the Short North Kroger.
