National Signing Day: Academy, Player Development standouts announce college commitments

Today was one of the biggest days in the young careers of players in the Crew SC Academy and Player Development programs. Fifteen Crew SC youth announced their college commitments on National Signing Day.


Five players expressed their intent to pursue their collegiate careers in Ohio: Academy players George Braima (The OhIo State Univeristy) and Logan Ecklar (University of Cincinnati), as well as Player Development products Cameron Christian, Matthew Pardi (both Ohio Dominican University) and Sinneh Kamara (University of Akron).


Other declared destinations include Gordon, Belmont, Butler, Wake Forest, Lipscomb, Webster, Duquesne, George Washington and Cornell.


“On behalf of Columbus Crew SC, I would like to congratulate the 15 players that that will sign their National Letter of Intent as this is an exciting time in their young soccer careers,” said Sporting Director and Head Coach Gregg Berhalter. “Ohio continues to be one of the premier states for developing soccer talent and we are proud that these individuals have been a part of our Crew SC family and that they will continue to represent the Black & Gold on campuses across the United States.”
