After a week off due to the international break, Columbus Crew SC is back in MLS action for its second match on a three-game road trip. The Black & Gold look to claim their first three points of the 2016 season, when they take on FC Dallas in Frisco, Texas at 9 p.m. ET Saturday. Leading up to kickoff at Toyota Stadium, here are three things to know about FC Dallas.

1. Three wins and one fluke

FC Dallas currently ties Western Conference opponent Sporting Kansas City for most points in the League with nine. The Texans won three of their first four matches without conceding a single goal in each victory. Most recently, Dallas dominated DC United in a 3-0 win, behind a first-half brace from midfielder Michael Barrios. In between those three victories fell one surprising 5-0 defeat at the hands of the Houston Dynamo.

2. Success at Toyota Stadium

FC Dallas has had an immense amount of success on its home turf in Frisco as of late. The Texans are unbeaten at Toyota Stadium in nine matches, having won eight of them. Their last defeat dates back to August 15, 2015, a 2-1 loss to the LA Galaxy. Dallas went 13-2-2 overall at home last season en route to a Western Conference Finals appearance, their best finish since reaching the MLS Cup Final in 2010.

3. History vs. Crew SC

FC Dallas has had success against Crew SC lately, winning the last meeting 3-0 at MAPFRE Stadium on September 6, 2015. But Columbus owns the series between the squads since 2008 with five wins, three draws and three losses. Crew SC went on a three-match unbeaten streak against Dallas between 2012 and 2014.

After opening 2016 with three wins in their first four matches, FC Dallas seems to be on a roll. However, Crew SC is confident and rested, and will look to move up the Eastern Conference standings, and slow down the Hoops with three points in Frisco. Click here for more on the match-up.
