Three things to know about the Impact

Crew SC is back at home for MLS regular-season play at MAPFRE Stadium to host the Montreal Impact in the third and final regular-season meeting between the two clubs this season. Leading up to the 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff on Saturday evening, here are three things to know about the Impact.

Piatti injured
The Impact may be without midfielder Ignacio Piatti due to a left hand injury suffered against Orlando City SC on May 21. Piatti recently underwent surgery and is expected to be out for three weeks. Piatti is Montreal’s leading scorer with eight goals on the season, followed by forward Didier Drogba, who has five goals. Piatti and Drogba have scored or assisted on 11 of Montreal’s last 12 goals dating back to April 23.

History in Columbus
The Impact have a 1-5-1 all-time record against the Black & Gold in Columbus. Montreal’s only win in MAPFRE Stadium happened last season, back on June 6, 2015 when the Impact defeated the Black & Gold 2-1.

A win and a draw
The Black & Gold will face Montreal for the third time this season. The two clubs first met in Montreal in Stade Olympique on April 9, when the Impact defeated Crew SC 2-0 as a result of goals from the Impact’s Hassoun Camara and Kyle Bekker. Crew SC faced the Impact at home less than a month later on May 7 in a back-and-forth match that resulted in a 4-4 draw.
