By virtue of the 1-0 victory by the Tampa Bay Rowdies over FC Cincinnati in this evening's 2016 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Third Round matchup at Al Lang Stadium in St. Petersburg, Florida, Columbus Crew SC will host Tampa Bay -- the North American Soccer League side -- in the Fourth Round at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium on the campus of The Ohio State University on Wednesday, June 15 at 7:00 p.m. ET.
Tickets for the tournament match go on-sale to the general public this Friday, June 3 at 10:00 a.m. ET via Ticketmaster.com, ColumbusCrewSC.com and both the MAPFRE Stadium and Ohio State University box offices. Broadcast information will be available at a later date. Parking for the match will be $5 for all supporters.
Black & Gold Season Ticket Members, 10-Match Plan holders and 5-Match Plan holders have already received a unique password to purchase up to six seats in an exclusive presale window. Those supporters have the option to purchase a supporters' section or stadium ticket (both general admission) for the special rate of $16 until Thursday, June 2 at midnight. Already available, students of The Ohio State University may purchase specially priced seats at D-Tix in the Ohio Union. Interested students should contact D-Tix for additional information as purchasing limits apply. All other college students may now purchase a specially priced ticket at the MAPFRE Stadium box office with current student identification.
Crew SC holds a 22-15-2 record in the U.S. Open Cup, including a 12-5-1 record in their opening match in the competition dating back to the Black & Gold's tournament debut in 1998. Columbus is 13-6-1 all-time at home in the U.S. Open Cup and has a record of 6-1-1 against USSF Division II clubs all-time in the tournament. Crew SC was crowned U.S. Open Cup champions on October 24, 2002, when they topped the LA Galaxy 1-0 at MAPFRE Stadium.
