U.S. Soccer: Gordon replaces Morris for USMNT

Alan Gordon

U.S. Men's National Team head coach Jurgen Klinsmann has added Alan Gordon to the training camp roster for USA-Mexico, presented by AT&T. The LA Galaxy forward will arrive in Columbus later today.

He joins the group in replacement of the injured Jordan Morris, who was diagnosed with a hamstring strain suffered during the first half of the FC Dallas-Sounders FC playoff match last Sunday night.

Gordon has made two appearances for the United States. He delivered the assist on the 90th minute game-winner by Eddie Johnson in the MNT's 2-1 World Cup Qualifying victory at Antigua & Barbuda in October 2012.

The Final Round of World Cup Qualifying, also known as the "Hex", begins with USA-Mexico, on Nov. 11 in Columbus, Ohio. With fans from all 50 states headed to MAPFRE Stadium, both FS1 and Univision plan extensive coverage around the match , with kickoff set for 7:45 p.m. ET.

Four days later, the U.S. travels to San Jose in search of its first victory on Costa Rican soil.
