Columbus Crew SC doesn't take the field in Week 9 of the Major League Soccer Regular season until Saturday's 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff against New York City FC, but — at approximately 11:25 p.m. on Thursday night — Crew SC was seen all over ESPN, NFL Network and all the NFL Draft coverage. Pickerington, Ohio, native and Michigan Wolverine Taco Charlton was selected as the 28th overall pick in the first round of the NFL Draft on Thursday by the Dallas Cowboys.
While Charlton wasn't live in Philadelphia for the Draft, he was sporting the Black & Gold from his Draft party and Crew SC was represented as his selection was covered.
Fellow Wolverine and Crew SC midfielder Justin Meram and former Buckeye Ezekiel Elliott took notice, along with all the Columbus 'Til I Die-ers that tuned into the NFL Draft.
