2019 (Columbus): Eduardo Sosa has made four regular-season appearances (one start as a central attacking midfielder) in 2019. He made his 2019 regular-season debut when he came in as a substitute for Robinho in the 84th minute during a road contest against the Philadelphia Union (March 23). Sosa made his first regular-season start of 2019 in a road contest against the Houston Dynamo (April 27). He did not make an appearance in the 2019 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
2018 (Columbus): Eduardo Sosa made 10 appearances (three starts as a center attacking midfielder) for Crew SC this season and scored one goal. He missed action from a home match against Vancouver Whitecaps FC (March 31) to a home match against the San Jose Earthquakes (April 28) after being listed on the injury report with a right ankle injury. Sosa made his Crew SC debut in a home match against Toronto FC (June 2), coming on as a substitute for Niko Hansen in the 63rd minute. The following week, Sosa came on as a substitute for Ricardo Clark in the 82nd minute of a home match against the New York Red Bulls (June 9), and he came in for Pedro Santos in the 64th minute of a home match against Atlanta United FC (June 13). In the following match, Sosa came in as a substitute in a road match against Los Angeles FC (June 23). In his first start of the season, Sosa scored the game-winning goal against Real Salt Lake (June 30). The goal was the first of Sosa’s MLS career, and it earned him a spot on MLSSoccer.com’s Team of the Week as well as a nominatoin for MLSSoccer.com’s Goal of the Week. Sosa started in an international friendly at home against Costa Rican side Deportivo Saprissa (July 3), and he provided the game-winning assist on Gyasi Zardes’ 28th minute goal. He returned to the starting lineup the following week in a road match against the LA Galaxy (July 7) in MLS regular-season action. Sosa made a substitute appearance in a road match against New York City FC (July 14), and received a red card which saw him miss a home contest against Orlando City SC (July 21). On August 7, Sosa underwent knee surgery and was estimated to miss four-to-six weeks of action. He returned to the starting lineup in a road match against the Portland Timbers (September 19) and provided his first MLS regular-season assist on Niko Hansen’s goal in second-half stoppage time. He made a substitute appearance in a home match against the Philadelphia Union (September 29). 2017 (Zamora FC): Sosa made 33 appearances (26 starts) for Zamora FC in the Primera Division, scoring six goals. He also made seven appearances (one start) in Copa Venezuela, scoring one goal. Sosa made five appearances (four starts) in Copa Libertadores, netting one goal.
2016 (Zamora FC): Sosa made eight appearances (three starts) for Zamora FC in the Primera Division, helping the club win the Primera Division.
2015 (Zamora FC): Sosa made one substitute appearance for Zamora FC in the Primera Division, helping the club win the Primera Division.
2014 (Zamora FC): Sosa made four appearances (two starts) for Zamora FC in the Primera Division, helping the club win the Primera Division.
2013 (Zamora FC): Sosa made his debut for Zamora FC on November 10, 2013 as a substitute in an away draw against Trujillanos FC at the age of 17, his lone appearance in 2013.

Eduardo is the son of Eduardo and Nancy, and he has an older brother named Junior. His nickname, Gugi, was given to him by his parents. Eduardo has a girlfriend named Maria. He enjoys listening to vallenato music and is a fan of horror movies. In his spare time, Eduardo likes to play video games on his PlayStation, particularly the FIFA series. His favorite food is fried chicken. Eduardo also enjoys going to the beach when he can. Growing up, he supported Argentine side Boca Juniors. Eduardo’s favorite player is former Argentina and Boca Juniors midfielder Juan Roman Riquelme. He would like to visit France some day. Eduardo speaks Spanish and is learning English.
