2019 (Columbus): Luis Diaz has made four regular-season appearances (one start as a right midfielder) in 2019. He made his 2019 regular-season debut in a road contest against the Chicago Fire (July 17) coming into the match as a substitute for Eduardo Sosa in the 65th minute. Diaz marked the occasion by also recording his first career assist on Romario Williams 90th minute goal. Diaz recorded his first career MLS start during a road match against the San Jose Earthquakes (August 3), playing all 90 minutes of the contest and marking the occasion by providing the assist of Gyasi Zardes’ 65st minute goal. He did not make an appearance in the 2019 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
