Eastern Conference roundup: March 16

1. New York City FC - 4 pts. | 2-0 win vs. New England Revolution, this week: at Colorado Rapids

David Villa showed his class in NYCFC's Yankee Stadium debut as the expansion side topped the Revolution, 2-0. Jason Kreis' squad travels to Colorado in Week Three.

2. Orlando City SC - 4 pts. | 1-0 win at Houston Dynamo, this week: vs. Vancouver Whitecaps FC

Pedro Ribeiro's heroics to force a Dynamo own goal was enough to lift the Lions to their first MLS win on the road at Houston. Orlando City SC returns to Florida to host Vancouver Whitecaps FC this week.

3. Columbus Crew SC - 3 pts. | 2-0 win vs. Toronto FC, this week OFF

Second-half goals from Justin Meram and Kei Kamara took care of a 10-man Toronto FC at MAPFRE Stadium as the Black & Gold get a break in the action during Week Three.

4. D.C. United - 3 pts. | OFF, this week: at New York Red Bulls

United had the week off following its win over Montreal. The Black-and-Red travel to Harrison, NJ to face the Red Bulls in Week Three.

5. Toronto FC - 3 pts. | 2-0 loss at Columbus Crew SC, this week: OFF

A first-half red card to defender Justin Morrow spelled doom for TFC in Columbus, falling to Crew SC by 2-0 final. The Reds have two weeks to regroup before hitting the road to face Real Salt Lake on March 29.

6. Philadelphia Union - 2 pts. | 3-3 draw at Real Salt Lake, this week: vs. FC Dallas

Is it the Year of the Draw for the Union? Philadelphia did well to get a point on the road following a 3-3 shootout with Real Salt Lake. The Union plays a Western Conference opponent for the third straight week as it welcomes FC Dallas on Friday.

7. New York Red Bulls - 1 pt. | OFF, this week: vs. D.C. United

The Red Bulls had the week off as they prepare for Sunday's Atlantic Cup clash with D.C. United.

8. Montreal Impact - 0 pts. | OFF, this week: at New England Revolution

The Impact continues CONCACAF Champions League play this week against Alajuelense before heading to New England for MLS action.

9. Chicago Fire - 0 pts. | 1-0 loss vs. Vancouver Whitecaps FC, this week: at San Jose Earthquakes

The Fire dropped a result at home versus Vancouver in Week Two. The Men in Red have never started a season with three straight losses, but visiting San Jose for the opening of Avaya Stadium seems like a daunting task.

10.  New England Revolution - 0 pts. | 2-0 loss at NYCFC, this week: vs. Montreal Impact

The Revs welcomed back Lee Nguyen, but are still sorely missing Jermaine Jones' presence in central midfield. Jay Heaps' men open their home slate versus Montreal in Week Three.
