Columbus Crew SC today announced that single-match tickets for available sections at all Black & Gold regular-season home matches in 2016 are set to go on sale to the general public on Friday, February 5 at 10:00 a.m. ET. Tickets will be available through ColumbusCrewSC.com, by calling a Crew SC ticket representative at 614-447-2739 or by visiting Ticketmaster.com.
Prices for single-match tickets begin at $24, with groups of 20 or more having the opportunity to purchase tickets beginning at $17 per seat. On Friday morning, February 5, tickets go on sale for every currently available section with the notable exception of the sold-out Nordecke. After the Nordecke was sold-out for every single match in 2015, this year, in an effort to accommodate demand, a lottery system will be implemented to allow supporters the opportunity to purchase a limited quantity of single-match tickets that have been reserved in the Nordecke for the first six home matches. All seats made available for purchase as a result of the lottery process will be in Sections 101-102 and Sections 139-142. The lottery will be held on Wednesday, February 17, with supporters able to register for the lottery effective this Friday, February 5.
In addition to the Nordecke, Season Ticket Memberships for Scotts Field Seats, Center Circle and Premier East are also sold out for 2016. Single-match tickets remain available in the Center Circle and Premier East sections and will be available on Friday.
Current full-season Season Ticket Members have special access to purchase single-match tickets beginning tomorrow, February 2. Those with 10-match plans receive access to purchase single-match tickets beginning on Wednesday, February 3.
In 2016, MAPFRE Stadium is set to welcome back its annual in-stadium Fireworks Extravaganza, special "All-You-Can-Eat" package nights, Post-Match Penalty Kick nights and All-You-Can-Eat Holiday Tailgates. Details on additional promotions will be announced in the coming weeks. In addition to single-match tickets, Season Ticket Memberships remain available and offer full season members the lowest pricing, the same seat location, exclusive special events and other privileges throughout the season. This season, gates to the plaza on the south end of MAPFRE Stadium open 90 minutes prior to kickoff, with all sections opening for access to the MAPFRE Stadium seating bowl beginning 60 minutes prior to kickoff. On top of concessions, food trucks, live music and partnership activation on the plaza, the Heineken Star Lounge is also slated to be open to all supporters beginning 90 minutes prior to match kickoff. Pre-match warm-ups will continue to begin roughly 40 minutes before kickoff.
During the 2015 season, Crew SC recorded five regular-season sellouts for the second consecutive year and added two postseason sellouts to set an all-time club record for most sellouts in one campaign, regular-season and playoffs combined. The Black & Gold also registered three straight home sellouts for the first time in MAPFRE Stadium history, from August 22 versus Sporting Kansas City through September 26 versus Portland. The attendance of 22,719 at that September match against the Timbers was the largest at MAPFRE Stadium since the stage at the north end of the venue was constructed prior to the 2008 season. The club then set club playoff records for MAPFRE Stadium attendance in back-to-back sellouts in the First Leg of the Eastern Conference Championship and the 2015 MLS Cup.
The Black & Gold continue their preseason with their first camp in Lakewood Ranch, Florida through February 5. After that camp, Crew SC trains at SuperKick from February 8-12 before departing to participate in the Desert Diamond Cup from February 15-27. The Black & Gold begin their 21st season on Sunday, March 6 at Portland and return home for the Opening Match at MAPFRE Stadium on Saturday, March 12 against Philadelphia.
