COLUMBUS — Columbus Crew SC has officially clinched a spot in the Audi 2018 MLS Cup Playoffs, returning to the postseason for the fourth time in five seasons under Sporting Director and Head Coach Gregg Berhalter. Crew SC finishes the regular-season in fifth place and is set to travel to Audi Field to take on D.C. United.
As announced by MLS, this Eastern Conference Knockout Round match is set to be televised nationally on FS1 and Unimas. The match also airs locally on the radio on CD102.5 FM in English. The club’s official website, ColumbusCrewSC.com, is set to stream the English-language radio broadcast online as well as host the Spanish-language audio broadcast.

This season, six teams qualified from each conference for the Audi 2018 MLS Cup Playoffs. The two winners from the Eastern Conference Knockout Round, featuring matches between the third and sixth seeds as well as the fourth and fifth seeds, advance to face the first and second seeds in the Semifinals, with the lowest advancing seed from the Knockout Round facing the first seed.

2018 marks the 15th all-time postseason berth for the Black & Gold as well as the seventh berth for the club in the last ten seasons. Under Sporting Director and Head Coach Gregg Berhalter, Crew SC has reached the playoffs four out of five seasons, reaching the 2015 MLS Cup as well as reaching the Eastern Conference Championship in 2017.
