The Crew SC Foundation is committed to providing soccer field space for challenged youth in the Central Ohio Community. Below is information about our completed field development projects. Check back for updates on projects.
On June 26, 2019, the Crew SC Foundation, in partnership with the U.S. Soccer Foundation, Columbus City Schools, and Columbus Recreation and Parks, officially unveiled the Club and City's newest field development project -- a new state-of-the-art mini-pitch at Eakin Elementary in the Wedgewood community of Columbus' Hilltop Neighborhood.
Columbus Crew SC partnered with MLS WORKS, adidas, Southern New Hampshire University and the U.S. Soccer Foundation to unveil a new mini-pitch in Columbus, Ohio as part of the 20 for 20 Mini-Pitch Initiative.
In November 2015, the Crew SC Foundation announced plans to help construct a soccer field complex at McCoy Park in Columbus. The project, set to build and maintain multiple fields at the park, is in conjunction with Columbus Recreation and Parks and the Berliner Action Team for Sports and is part of the Crew SC Foundation's goal to further create soccer space and programming in the Central Ohio community. Construction on the project is set to begin soon and is also supported by Crew SC partners.
Huy Road Park Field
The grass field was completed in 2014 and serves as the home field for the Medina Middle School soccer team. Prior to the completion of the field the team had played all of their matches on the road. The field is also utilized by Medina Middle School, Huy Road Elementary and the North Linden community. This project was completed in partnership with Columbus Recreation and Parks Department and Crew SC partners.
Krumm Park Futsal Court
Located in East Columbus this is the first futsal court built by the Crew SC Foundation. It was one of two field completed in 2014. The project was built to be utilized by underserved youth at the Adams Recreation Center and the surrounding community.
Innis Park Fields
The four grass fields at Innis Park located in Northeast Columbus were completed in June 2013. The fields at Innis Park were the second field development project completed by the Columbus Crew SC Foundation in partnership with MLS WORKS, Scotts Miracle-Gro, CheckSmart and the Columbus Recreation & Parks Department. The goal of this initiative was to create soccer space for New Americans and challenged youth in the area.
Crew SC Foundation Field
The Columbus Crew SC Foundation field is a turf field located north of the Stadium Club tent and MAPFRE Stadium and was the first field development project completed by the Foundation in partnership with the U.S. Soccer Foundation in March 2012. The field is one of the first youth fields constructed on the grounds of a professional soccer stadium. The field hosts events run by the Columbus Crew SC Foundation such as the Heroes League and can be rented out for groups to use. Click here for rental info.
