2009: Scored 17 goals to take home the 2009 MLS Golden Boot in the greatest second-half run in FC Dallas history, netting 16 goals during the team’s final 14 games… named to the MLS Best XI… A finalist for the league MVP award… FC Dallas team MVP… appeared in 28 games, making 23 starts for the club… added eight assists to his 17 goals on the year.

2008: Scored five times in 11 games with FCD, finishing the year with eight total goals…Tallied his 100th career MLS goal on Aug. 16 at Columbus, in his first appearance in a Dallas uniform. It was his first-ever goal scored against the Crew, his former club…Is fourth all-time in MLS history with 104 career regular season goals…Scored twice and added an assist at Chicago on Sept. 21.

2007: Cunningham joined TFC on 5/22 from Real Salt Lake already with 3 goals to his credit. He played in 16 games, 13 as starter, logging 1034 minutes. Cunningham made his debut on 5/26 at Columbus. His first goal for TFC was on 6/6 vs. New York in a 2-1 loss. He scored 3 goals for TFC in 2007, taking his career MLS total to 96. He was named to the 2007 Sierra Mist All-Star inactive roster.

2006-2007: Scored 18 goals in 32 games for Real Salt Lake. The 2006 season was Cunningham's best, as he led the league in scoring with 16 goals, earning him the MLS Golden Boot. He also added 11 assists that season. 2005: Scored 12 goals in 26 games for the Colorado Rapids. Appeared in the MLS All-Star game that season, and scored twice against Fulham F.C. of the FA Premier League.

1998-2004: After being drafted ninth overall in the 1998 MLS draft by Columbus, Cunningham spent six seasons there, totaling 62 goals and 43 assists in 182 games. As a rookie he tied the rookie record for goals (since broken) with eight. Cunningham became a starter in 1999, and held his spot over his time in Columbus. In 2002, he was named to the MLS Best XI after scoring 16 goals. Cunningham left the Crew tied for the all-time lead in goals.

 

College

Attended the University of South Florida, where he earned first-team All-Conference USA honours as a sophomore and junior, and was named the Conference USA Player of the Year as a senior. He finished his career at USF with 41 goals and 36 assists.

 

International

Born in Montego Bay, Jamaica, Cunningham earned one cap for Jamaica before becoming a U.S. citizen in 2001. He has since been capped 10 times for the United States.

 

Personal

Jeff and his wife, Jocelyn welcomed their first child, Mikayla, on Sept. 15, 2008.
