2008-13 (Estudiantes): The Argentine midfelder made 82 League appearances for Estudiantes from 2008-13, tallying once in that time. On the club's international stage, Sánchez appeared 22 times in the prestigious Copa Libertadores competition. Sánchez made nine appearances in the club's run to the 2009 Copa Libertadores crown. As a result, the Argentine also saw 44 minutes of action in the 2009 FIFA Club World Cup where Estudiantes finished runner-up to FC Barcelona.
2006-08 (Racing Club): A youth product, Sánchez appeared 46 times for Racing Club to tally one goal.
Sánchez was an instrumental piece of Argentina's 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup title run. He appeared 14 times with the Argentina U-20s alongside stars such as Ángel di María and Sergio Agüero.
