2016 (Columbus): Saeid made 25 appearances (24 starts) in 2016, with 19 appearances coming at central midfield, five at central attacking midfield and one at left midfield. He recorded five assists. He came on as a substitute to make his season debut in the Opening Match vs. Philadelphia (March 12) and recorded an assist. He started at central midfield against Colorado (May 14), at Toronto (May 21), vs. Real Salt Lake (May 28) and at Philadelphia (June 1). He continued his run in the starting lineup but shifted to central attacking midfield against Montreal (June 18) and continued there vs. the Red Bulls (June 25). He started at central midfield as part of a 2-0 win at New England (August 20). Saeid started at central midfield against Vancouver (September 10) and recorded his second assist on the season. He registered his third assist of the campaign as part of a start vs. New England (September 25). He started at central midfield and registered his fourth and fifth assists of the season in a 3-0 victory over Chicago (October 1). Saeid did not make an appearance in the 2016 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.

2015 (Columbus): Saeid made 25 appearances (18 starts) in his first season with Crew SC, registering one assist, with 21 appearances coming at central midfield and four at attacking midfield. He notched his first club and League start in the home opener against Toronto FC (March 14), completing 93.22% of his passes (55/59) in the victory. He came on at halftime in the club’s international friendly vs. Valencia CF (May 27). He started at central attacking midfield against D.C. United (October 25), recording his first assist in Black & Gold. In the Audi 2015 MLS Cup Playoffs, Saeid made two appearances for Crew SC. He made a substitute appearance in Crew SC’s 2015 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Fourth Round contest at Richmond (June 17).

2014 (Columbus): Saeid agreed to sign with Columbus following the expiration of his contract with Örebro SK in December. He was officially be added to the Black & Gold roster on January 1, 2015, pending receipt of his International Transfer Certificate and P-1 Visa.

2014 (Örebro SK): Back in the topflight Swedish league, Saeid made 20 appearances (18 starts) for Örebro. He added two goals on the season to bring his professional total to 15. He has also appeared in one Swedish Cup match, a 2-0 win over Eskilstuna City that advanced Örebro to the Group Stage of the tournament. 

2013 (Örebro SK): After finishing 15th out of 16 sides in 2012, Örebro was relegated to the second-division Superettan in 2012. Saeid appeared in 24 matches (20 starts), scoring four goals. He tallied in each of his first two Superettan matches, on April 8, 2013 against Värnamo and on April 15, 2013 against GIF Sundsvall. He also appeared in one Swedish Cup match. He helped Örebro to a second-place finish and promotion back to the Allsvenskan.

2012 (Örebro SK): Saeid moved to topflight side Örebro SK at the start of the 2012 campaign. He appeared in 24 matches, starting 20 of them, chipping in with one goal on May 16, 2012 against AIK – his first Allsvenskan tally. He also appeared in four Swedish Cup matches with Örebro.

2011 (BK Forward): The midfielder appeared in a career-high 25 matches, all starts, scoring eight goals over the campaign.

2010 (BK Forward): Saeid appeared in six league matches for third-division BK Forward, playing 355 minutes in total. He also made one appearance in the Swedish Cup.

2009 (BK Forward): After spending eight years in West Bromwich Albion's youth setup, Saeid returned to his native Sweden and former youth club BK Forward.

Saeid enjoys watching basketball, hanging out with friends and playing video games in his spare time. He is a fan of Kyrie Irving and the Cleveland Cavaliers. His favorite musical artists are Trey Songz and Kendrick Lamar. Growing up, he looked up to Ronaldinho and supported Barcelona. His favorite memory was achieving promotion to the Swedish First Division as an important cog for Örebro SK in 2013. If he weren’t a soccer player, he would like to become a doctor. Saeid speaks four languages (Arabic, English, Swedish and an Eritrean dialect) and is working on learning a fifth (Spanish) and sixth (French).
