The Falcons’ season-ending Mid-American Conference game will move from Doyt Perry Stadium, marking Bowling Green’s first neutral-site regular-season contest since 2006, when it played Wisconsin at Cleveland Browns Stadium. Single-game tickets for all games will go on sale Aug. 6 and fans will be able to purchase tickets to the Nov. 23 game through Ticketmaster.com, the BGSU Ticket Office, or at the Crew Stadium Box Office.

“With students away from campus for Thanksgiving Break, the Buffalo game became an opportunity for us to take BGSU on the road to one of our most populated alumni areas,” said Athletics Director Greg Christopher. “We view this as more than a football game and truly a university-wide effort and event. The Crew are excited about the partnership and we look forward to the unique event.”

“We look forward to the opportunity to take Bowling Green football to an area where we have a very solid fan base and has been an outstanding recruiting area for our program,” added BGSU head coach Dave Clawson. A total of 12 current Falcons players hail from the Columbus area.

Crew Stadium has hosted numerous college and high school football games and events, but the BGSU-Buffalo game will be the first Division I college game played at the historic venue. Opened in 1999, Crew Stadium was the first major-league stadium built specifically for soccer in the U.S.

“Crew Stadium has a well-earned reputation as an excellent venue for football, and we are excited to welcome Bowling Green and Buffalo this November,” said Crew President & General Manager Mark McCullers. “The number of fans, alumni and affiliated parties from both schools within driving distance promise to make it a memorable event.”
