The Crew took an early lead in Wednesday night's match against Toronto FC when Crew Stadium debutant Federico Higuaín found an open Eddie Gaven at the top of the box and the veteran midfielder's shot deflected off a TFC defender and past goalkeeper Freddy Hall. Here is Gaven's take on our Moment of the Match:
"I think [the ball] hit off somebody’s back, actually. I just found myself with the ball, with a little bit of space, so I just figured I’d hit it. Sometimes when you shoot, good things happen. Even though it might not have been the prettiest goal, they all count. It was nice to be able to get a goal early."
