The team suffered 13 fouls last weekend against San Jose and now averages 16.67 fouls suffered per match. Last year, the team suffered 393 fouls in the 34-game season, averaging 11.56 fouls suffered per match.

Columbus has been whistled for off side just twice this season, the fewest off side calls against in MLS. It’s early in the season, but the team’s average of 0.67 off side calls against-per-game is a notable improvement as the team finished second in MLS for most off side calls with 111 in 2012, or 3.26 off side-per-game.

Last year, Columbus was held scoreless eight times, including three of the team’s first seven fixtures. While the Crew has scored five goals through 2013, D.C. has scored just one goal in three matches.

Through three games as the primary netminder, the 30-year-old has seven saves, good for a tie with Toronto’s Joseph Bendik for ninth in MLS. D.C. goalkeeper Bill Hamid leads MLS in saves with 13 in three starts.
