Crew season ticket plans give access to sold-out USA-Mexico match on September 10 at Crew Stadium

USA

COLUMBUS – Although the 2014 FIFA World Cup Qualifying match between the United States Men’s National Team and Mexico on September 10 at Crew Stadium was officially announced as a sellout on August 2, fans still have an opportunity to secure tickets to the highly anticipated international contest at Crew Stadium. Through several exclusive Crew season ticket plans, including the unique “Black & Gold and Stars & Stripes” packages, fans receive the benefit of gaining access to the most anticipated soccer match on U.S. soil in 2013.

More than 200 of these packages have been sold since U.S. Soccer’s sellout announcement less than two weeks ago. The Crew has been allocated approximately 700 tickets to utilize for growing the club’s season ticket base and expectations are that the remaining tickets will go fast.

”We feel fortunate that U.S. Soccer has granted us permission to create these opportunities to grow our season ticket base,” said Crew Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing Mike Malo. “We have experienced success with these types of efforts during previous USA vs. Mexico matches in Columbus, but the demand for this year’s match is much greater than in other years. U.S. Soccer has been very supportive of hosting FIFA World Cup Qualifiers in MLS venues and providing our clubs with opportunities for our season ticket holders. These types of benefits for season ticket holders are critical in helping us achieve our goal of 10,000 season tickets.”

Fans have several season ticket options to select from, ranging from full season tickets to unique packages that include multiple tickets, parking and experiential elements. All of the packages either include tickets to the USA-Mexico match at Crew Stadium – home of three consecutive Dos a Cero victories for the Americans in a trio of crucial 2-0 FIFA World Cup Qualifying wins against archrival Mexico – or provide the opportunity to purchase tickets to the match.

Pricing information and a complete list of benefits for the packages is available via TheCrew.com/USA or by calling 614-447-CREW (2739).

The Black & Gold look to entertain another strong crowd on the heels of last Saturday’s attendance of 19,080 – the third-highest Crew Stadium attendance of the season, trailing only 19,624 (June 23 vs. Chicago) and 19,323 (July 20 vs. New England) – when the Crew hosts Toronto FC on Saturday, August 17 in the third and final meeting in the chase of the Trillium Cup presented by Scotts (7:30 p.m. ET / FOX Sports Ohio).
