This is truly one of the biggest rivalries in the world, and with so much on the line it's going to be a very special occasion for everyone.

We are coming off a difficult defeat against a fantastic Costa Rica team. We had a big setback before the game with the injury to Michael Bradley, and by the time we recovered it was already 2-0! The players responded very well and we showed a lot of good soccer in the second half, but unfortunately we weren't able to get the result. That only makes this game that much bigger.

We come into the game in Columbus with the mission of getting three points and moving back on top of the group. Obviously there are some adjustments to make having three players suspended, but we have spent the last two years building a great amount of depth on the roster and we are very confident that we have a group that can get the job done.

There is a reason that this game is played at Columbus Crew Stadium. The atmosphere is unbelievable, and with more than 9,000 people in the supporters sections alone, we know that the support will be absolutely amazing. As we have seen in venues all across the country, the home crowd can make a huge difference for us and we appreciate everything that you do.

We always knew that the qualifying campaign was going to be long and difficult, and in this round every team has been capable of getting results. Our focus remains clear - we want to go to Brazil. With your help, we know we will get there!

We hope you have a memorable evening. Thanks again for your support.

Jurgen Klinsmann
Head Coach
U.S. Men's National Team

U.S. Soccer looks forward to hosting you on Tuesday for the U.S. Men's National Team's match against Mexico at Columbus Crew Stadium.
