Black & Gold Bullets: September 25

·         As the week has progressed, coverage of Dominic Oduro’s Papa John’s (of Columbus) pizza celebration continues to grow in popularity. On Tuesday, footage of Oduro’s unique sideline spectacle reached the pinnacle of late night TV as it was featured in a bit on the Late Show with Jay Leno. The feature on Oduro, in its entirety, is up on NBC.com starting at the 8:55 minute mark.

·         In recent weeks, Tony Tchani and Tyson Wahl have re-emerged from off of the Black & Gold bench and into the starting 11. According to Tchani, his second chance to be a starter can be attributed to Interim Head Coach Brian Bliss, who sought him out individually and challenged him to do more on the defensive end. ·         On Tuesday, Crew midfielder Wil Trapp was named Soccer By Ives MLS Rookie of the Week. While Trapp did not score in the 3-0 win against the Chicago Fire on Saturday, he was an instrumental part in the Black & Gold’s offensive attack. Read more about the full honors here.

·          One of the items up for discussion at the 2013 MLS Business Summit in Columbus was the video game series "FIFA 14." The game launched yesterday. As those at the Summit observed, FIFA is one of the most popular video games in the United States.
