Black & Gold Bullets

Jeff Kassouf of NBC’s Pro Soccer Talk looks at the ‘unknowns’ of the USWNT defense and profiles the possible lineups Sermanni might role out against New Zealand next week.

In recent months, Major League Soccer has taken great strides in trying to bridge the gap between their homegrown talent and foreign-born players competing abroad with programs such as their assistant coach licensing partnership with the French Football Federation. Leander Schaerlaekens of discusses the United States’ attempt to put ‘brains over brawn’ when it comes to developing the complete, technical athlete.
